A. Martins comments about Fran coming over (link)

Recommended Posts

UPDATE No. 2: According to a translated version of a Solobasket.com interview (via HoopsHype) with Alex Martins, the president of the Orlando Magic, it continues to sound like Vasquez could come over next season -- pending a lockout.

"Otis Smith has followed him and has frequently talked with Fran," Martins is quoted as saying. "I think he could be really close to coming to the NBA. His contract with Regal FC Barcelona ends this season and we hope he can make a decision, to know if he is ready to move to Florida. We keep his rights and if he's available, we want to see him in our roster next season."

With the Magic deciding against acquiring another big at the trade deadline or via a buyout, Vasquez could help shore up depth concerns for the Magic next season up front.

FYI, I've never seen footage of this guy before until now and we could really use him. He plays like Asik of the bulls and kindive looks like Spencer Hawes. Does he have anything other than a Blake Griffin game? Just dunks, dunks, dunks...

Wait a second.....

Fran, Anderson, Hedo, JJ, Arenas. We could have a full on white out next year.

Nothing will ever top JWill, JJ, Barnes, Anderson, Gortat
