Official Game Thread: Heat vs Magic

For me though that last few minutes did nothing. I wanna see that during the entire game against good teams.

I just, for once, want to stop playing god damn catch up all game long against our main competitors in the East. We need to strike first and hard and set the tone early.

You don't win rings in the regular season either.

No but you develop championship habits that you use against the competition and we show the complete opposite on most nights.

You see, LeBron isn't the mediocre shooter people are making him out to be. . . he's been close to a 40% shooter from midrange, nearly all shots because off the dribble.

Now, obviously him making THAT many jumpshots is a goddamn anomaly, especially those long, foot on the line, jumpers. You'd still rather see him shooting jumpers all game as opposed to driving and getting and1s.

Any time a player scores 51 points on 25 shots, all you have to do is make sure he doesn't steal your wife after the game is over.

I find this a bit unfair to expect from a team that has yet to find an offensive identity If not unfair, at least unrealistic.

A lot of anomalies lately, Lebron today, Conley the other night...

How have we not find an offensive identity?

why are we always down during the games? even at home wins vs Rockets, Warriors we were down by double digits in the first quarter and halftime, then terrible game at home vs Sixers which we won by a miraculous shot by J.Rich. bad loss to Pistons at home when Detroit was hitting every jumpshot and we again tried to win the game only at the end. Then loss to Celtics when they hit 50% from the field. Loss to Thunder when they scored 124 points or smth like that. Loss to Hornets when we allowed Thornton to play like an All-Star. Memphis loss when Conley for the first time in his career had over 20 points and 10 asts a game. and vs Heat when only started to play at the end of the game...

The team has yet to string together a few games where they looked fluid offensively. And it makes sense, the team traded 4 players, two of them being starters. Lost a guy that allowed Howard to be more aggressive, and another rotational player.

In turn, got 2 new starters and one rotational player, as well as basically "activated" Ryan Anderson into the rotation and have given Bass a MUCH bigger role, as well as having two previous rotation players out of the rotation.

That team has only played 24 games together against a top tier team missing. . . not much to expect but a close game (which it was)

You didn't have to write all that. We are Dwight and a bunch of jump shooters that have never been known to be defensive. See? Easy.
