I can not watch this brand of basketball anymore. Yeah its fine and dandy when they are making them. But when they are not and they continue to jack 3 after 3 it becomes the most frustrating thing in the world. Its time for a change. Just drive the ball to the hoop! The few times we have actual done that it has worked out for the better, and if there is no open shot then at least the perimeter guys will be more open.... Common sense and yet Stan sticks with his **** system.

 

I agree with everything but the last sentence. Who do you expect to drive more? We lack that player. Everyone is a shooter. That's it. Arenas isn't there. Who knows if he'll be that again. We lack the personnel to be different.

thats the differense, Arenas takes a contested 3 from the tough angle and misses of course and Eddie House takes a WIDE OPEN 3 after a great ball movement and makes it.

Its very excusable. Shooters will miss. The problem goes back to personnel. We're missing pieces that gives us more diversity on offense and we lack defense and rebounding.

Hate to say it, but this team is starting to remind me of the Isiah Thomas Knicks (aside from Dwight Howard) We just have soo many over priced players who don't perform when it counts.

WHO? Its Dwight and a bunch of shooters. You can't expect players to just be something their not. Hell you got Clark out there chucking 3's now.

2 of 13 missed shots from 2 players of a mostly 8 man lineup is. This team doesn't have a great defense, so you HAVE to make open shots.

They doubled in the 1st as well, especially when Miller was on the floor

 

 

Dwight doesn't need to exactly outscore them, but giving him the ball usually ends up being a good offensive possession because he'll foul out their team, score at a high clip, and when they double, open 3 pt shots happen

 

 

 

his free throw shooting as been abysmal tonight, though. . . him on pace to play 48 minutes isn't going to help that though. Then again, this game is already over

They don't seem to be that bothered in fouls for their bigs.

 

Also, it is my assumption that pick & roll with Dwight is trying to get him deep post position? If that's the case, wouldn't those possessions count as "Dwight" possessions too?

 

But see, they might just be THAT good at denying him the ball. Considering that the Miami wings are athletic and long.. seeing two guys surrounding Howard and a fast close-out three is the typical defensive possession.

 

And this is really the same thing that happened in the Heat opener. Just throwing some things out there.
