Hollinger: Bass is the key to keeping Dwight in O-Town

Recommended Posts

Broussard called LeBron/PHX trade/etc. Dude is how you say in french? Legit?

oh, I know. I'm just saying that for people who always automatically discount what analyst say because they disagree with the message. Now that Broussard is saying something easy on the ears, ppl will praise him and call him the truth. Today he's saying he's hearing Dwight ain't going anywhere. When in 2 months, its a different tune, everyone gotta give him the same credit he's going to get now.

Why is it that Stan is impressed with Bass's defense and yet so many people on here are still complaining about it?

Its improving nonetheless but his rotations "use" to scare the living daylights out of me.

He's impressed with how he has improved, but considering how bad it was when he first started, he still has a lot of ground to make up.

Don't you think we should let him get at least a season with some legitimate minutes to see if he can make up that ground? He's got a pretty good tutor, and his 52% FG% sure helps to make up for the fact that he's still learning how to play good D.

Makes sense reallym we did all agree that we needed a bash brother for Dwight in the paint. Turns out we were just saying it before all the so called experts.

I loved Shard, but him leaving really has opened up our rotation a ton. Instead of him having an obligatory 34 minutes out there no matter what the situation called for because of his contract, we can put Bass out there if we need his athleticism and mid-range game, Ryno if we need range, and we've even been giving Earl Clark minutes on the floor if we want to get another slick ballhandler on the court and maybe want to get the fastbreak game going.

It really is like we have a swiss-army knife at our disposal next to Dwight, and I hope we can keep this multi-talented platoon together for a while.

You don't need a full season to understand how to rotate. That's nonsense. Bass really just isn't a very bright player, but he's a high-energy guy with a very nice midrange jumper, so he gets away with it more often than not.

Nonsense?

Are you implying it should take 82+ games to understand that you're supposed to cut off your teammate's defensive assignment only long enough to allow him to return and then shift back to yours? Really?
