But you don't understand the crux of the argument. He is short and not pass first. Just because accidentally the ball fell out of his hands and his teammates made shots afterwords does not put him in the elite level of pass first like Chauncy Billups or Michael Jordan when it comes to point guards.

A) Harper was the nominal point guard on those teams, not Jordan.

B) Pippen did most of the ball-handling, in so much as there was any.

C) They ran the triangle, which is a variant of a spread offense, and so the actual need for a pass first point guard was diminished.

I was reinforcing the fact that just cause you have a pass first PG doesn't mean your going to win it all. I remember MJ guarding the other teams PG and I also remember Pip the Pt Forward.

 

History shows that you will most likely win it all with a dominant big man on your team then a pass first PG.
