Jareth Cutestory 678 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Dooling signed with the Bucks. quote: The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Keyon Dooling to a contract, General Manager John Hammond announced today. A 10-year NBA veteran, Dooling averaged 6.9 points, 2.5 assists and 1.0 rebound in 53 games (eight starts) for the New Jersey Nets last season. He enjoyed his best statistical season in 2008-09 when he averaged 9.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 77 games for the Nets. YES, IT NEEDED IT'S OWN THREAD. VCplusD12 91 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 With the talented Nelson and Duhon on our roster there wouldn't be any playing time for a 3rd PG. Only if one of them got injured. We could have Daniel Orton as 3rd PG, it wouldn't matter
Jareth Cutestory 678 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Ya but Dooling was ideal. Knew the system, great locker room presence, could play the 2 in a pinch.
Jareth Cutestory 678 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 It's probably because we're getting Chris Paul anyway so Otis didn't feel he needed to get Dooling oh well.

sharp/7/shooter 23 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 This doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Dooling would be a 3rd string PG behind Nelson and Duhon, or he'd be a backup 2, possibly 3rd string as well. He's 30 now; we could use the veteran intangibles but I wonder how much security he wants in terms of his contract. I'd take him for a year or two, but beyond that, no thanks. He was a defensive specialist last time he played for Orlando, 3 years ago. Can he still bring the defensive intensity that we need from him? He would need that to get him playing time in the end. BravesMagicBucs 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Not a big deal. Our 3rd point isn't going to matter THAT much (well, until Jameer gets hurt).
