They were wrong on his skill not translating.

Bingo.

I'd love to have Boozer, but I think the above is what we truly need.

You know...the kind of guy that Vince was SUPPOSED to be.

Exactly. Maybe save our money for Kevin Durant?

I think i'll see if draftxpress has a profile on him... but i was hoping some of you who were following the 2002 draft might know.

Undersized, not very explosive, limited lateral quickness, can't defend, and it wasn't considered all that likely that his largely skill and skill alone based offensive game would be effective at the NBA level.

Sounds like the same exact complaints they had against David Lee.

And one other thing: if we do pick up Boozer? Moving 'Shard back to his wing slot might free him up for slashing. Might give Carter a little less weight on his psyche. Who knows? We can dream.

I want a slasher/play-maker <<<--- try saying that five times fast.

I end up saying "I wanna smash her pay maker."

Not sure how that's supposed to happen. Carter makes $17 Mill, Gortat makes about $6 Mill, and Bass makes $4 Mill. Combined that's close to $27 Million! How is Boozer gonna make that unless we're getting someone in te deal with him.

Boozer would be a nice add. Watch a lot of NBA games and while he's not Karl Malone he is a very nice player. Has a nice post game and nice jumper from about 18. Also can pass the ball well and hits his free throws which is never a given in Orlando. Not a super athlete but works his butt off to make up for that. Would be very happy to see him in Orlando!

It'd reportedly only take Gortat and Bass/Anderson to pry him off their hands. VC is still on the team at that point.

Nelson/FA

Carter/Redick

Lewis/Peeches/Rookie

Boozer/Bass

Howard/Orton

This second team could use some work, but straight up nastiest starting 5 in the league right there.
