My point is, I don't care if its good for the sport or the event, I always want my team to win. Your comments remind me of Stern and the NBA office wanting a Lakers/Celtics or Kobe/Lebron finals because it's good for the sport.

They did, difference in game, Altidore couldn't make individual plays, Ghana converted their only opportunities.

My comments also come from an Englishman, and a Neutral. And if you think a neutral wouldnt want to see a Kobe/Lebron final, you are an idiot. Fans who have no allegance want to see the best talent. And this does not mean I think Stern is right all the time, cos I think hes a dick. But, for this arguement, he has a point if hes talking about the sport in terms of pure popularity.

now the bandwagon can finally come to a halt. Americans don't give a **** about soccer. disgusts me how much the media dick rode the u.s. team and landon donovan when they never even did that in 2006. to make it seem like team usa had a chance is even more laughable.

American's don't care for soccer. they just care that it was their nations team out there. now soccer will go back to being obsolete again.

I felt bad for the US, but also felt good for Ghana.

I wished they could both pass.

NOW It's PORTUGAL TIME!!!!

Kevin-Prince Boateng is that dude

Why am I not surprised?

I rooted for Ghana in 2006. I'm rooting for them again this year.

Just because I'm american doesn't mean I have to root for all american sports...just because the media has been pushin the u.s. soccer team and landon donovan down everyones throats doesn't mean i have to jump on the bandwagon.

You're a piece of ****.

After reading some of the utter rubbish in the amerian media such as USA wins 1-1 when the USA drew with England, i'm glad in a way that Ghana won.

I feel sorry for the genuine football fans, but having countless arguments with loads of Americans online simply for being English i'm not bothered for the majority.
