Jareth, I agree with your post. Let me ask you; seriously, can Arenas be that wing scorer?

the best we can hope for is arenas or ellis. i honestly can't think of any other wing player who can create their own shot and score at will that we can realistically bring in.

either way, that is a small backcourt to have.

iggy & brand for vc, gortat & bass would make my pants tighter

other than those 3, i don't know if we can get a player like that and the first 2 i'm not thrilled about (arenas & ellis)

I already tried this trade, but giving Bass to is not a good idea if Lewis is gonna play as a 3. Better we let go peaches (spiring contract next season) We still have Barnes and JJ and back up for Iggy and Shard

I would like to apologize for David Stern turning the NBA into a circus and a mockery. We have guys holding TV telethons to announce their intentions and other guys giving away their intentions through TWITTER and documentaries. Joe Johnson who completely disappeared and trashed his own fan base was rewarded with 126 million dollars. Amare Stoudemire and Carlos Boozer are making 200 million dollars over the next 5 years. I will not even get you started on Darko, Drew Gooden, and Amir Johnson.

What I do ask is that we do not stand for this. Please give us 5 years of the following teams in the Finals. Milwaukee, OKC, Orlando, and Portland.

Thanks for everything,

Drain-O

I haven't even thought about the fact that Lewis now has to guard Bosh, Amare, Boozer a lot more often during the season.

I'll take t-mac over vince. In all honesty. Disregarding all my past feelings for him though would have to come first before I could emotionally be ready for that.

i was as disappointed with vince as everyone else but there is absolutely no way i'm taking tmac over vince at this point.

...until Dwight gets in foul trouble. Meer has an off night. and Lewis can't get it done by himself. Or any combination of those things.

After last year, despite his good games, do you see VC being the answer to being "the guy" to take over a game? I don't. I want him to, but I can't see it. Not after losing another year of youth. Not after his disappearance in big moments.

48 points against the Hornets made us forget all his troubles for awhile. But then reality struck and we saw be the guy he thought he was. A fun player to watch, but not the missing piece.

Does he surprise us all next year? Hell, anything is possible. Do I think it's going to happen? No.

And then our other major problem. Gortat. "But what about when Dwight gets in foul trouble?". Then we bring in a vet for a quarter of the price to play for him and hope other guys on our team step up and do their job. It's ridiculous that some people here feel the organization has to pay $6 to $7 million a year to a guy to be an insurance policy. And don't even get me started on the atrocious idea of having him play the 4. Unless J.J. transfers his brain into Gortat, then it won't be a good idea.

I stand by my position that we need to trade Gortat for a young, hungry wing player who looks to create his own shot and can score at will. Maybe we could even get a vet big to go along with him. It doesn't have to be an all-star, just a scorer. We need a scorer. We need a guy who is going to come in and start lighting it up from all over the place. And if he misses? Well he attacks and hustles until he can't do it anymore.

Maybe I'm hoping for too much, or maybe I'm just totally off base. Thoughts?

Sounds like Rip Hamilton to me?

infamous magic killer. not a huge fan of his contract. wasn't he injured towards the end of the season last year as well?

I dont know of his contract situation he just sounded exactly like who jareth was describing.

And yes he only played 46 games last year missed time pretty much throughout the year.

I seriously cannot get over the fact that ATL actually signed Joe Johnson to a 120+ million dollar contract, only months after he insulted his own fan base (you know, the people putting money in his wallet). Unreal...

Ben gordon? i think his contract might be kind of big though.. and he was hurt alot last year but he was a very solid player in chicago, just hasnt done so well in detroit so far.. just throwin names out there

There is absolutely no way in hell I would take Collison over Jameer Nelson. Chris Paul or Bust. Also, what are the chances OS would actually sign Arenas or McGrady? I hope the odds are zero...and it's not like I hate T-mac or anything....it's just that he is a first round curse for whichever team he plays for..
