Magic going in for Chris Paul

In recent days, it has been rumored that the Magic are shopping Marcin Gortat and this pick lines up with that thinking. While the rumored deal with Chicago, that would have sent Gortat and Mickael Pietrus to the Bulls in exchange for Luol Deng, likely won't happen, the Magic have spoke with several other teams interested in acquiring the Polish center.

 

If Gortat is dealt, Orton could see playing time behind Dwight Howard and this selection gives the Magic a tandem of young big men that will develop alongside each other for the next several years.
