TampaTony 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2010 quote: Originally posted by cpower:Denver wanted it more thats why they got the W. So are we ahead of the lakers or not? Yes because we have a better own conference record... if we both finish out the year undefeated we would have homecourt advantage... SWEET!! glad i didn't jinx it... I think if we beat cleveland we're fine... i can see them playing lebron against us tho... and it'll be a tough game but if we can eek it out i think we're home free... Animorphfan 10 Report post Posted April 8, 2010 Rules for tiebreakers: TWO-WAY TIES 1. Results of games against each other. 2. Better winning percentage within own division (only if tied teams are in same division). 3. Better winning percentage against teams in own conference. 4. Better winning percentage against playoff opponents in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position). 5. Better winning percentage against playoff opponents in opposite conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position). 6. Better point differential between offense and defense. According to this, the team with the best record in their conference would win the tiebreaker. We have a 35-13 record compared to the Lakers 33-15, so we would win the tiebreaker.
