Official Game Thread: Magic @ Cavaliers Thursday 2/11/10 8 PM

Orlando backcourts-Nelson/Carter 9 for 30, 65 min - Jwill/JJ 7 for 7 32 min. What's wrong with this picture. A good coach would normally play who's hot down the stretch. It seems to me that Stan Van is so entrenched in his rotation, he seldom varies from it. Not the way to win games. Again, I could be wrong.

haha..... meer plays like trash... Carter played average, Howard was in BS foul trouble all night (offensive foul was BS), and committed many TO's and Magic still almost won the game. Cavs rode a hot hand by Lebron and it's scrub bench in the 4rth. Plus Varejao and JJ Hickson had career nights. Cavs had a week to prepare. The overlooked the Nets in preparation for this game. SVG had 22 hours to prepare for this one, plus 4 games in 5 nights... 5 games in 7 nights.

Cavs played at their PEAK and Magic played average.

Just something for everyone to think about when it comes time to the 7 game series. Both teams will get equal rest and prep time.

Magic will win best of 7 the way both teams are currently constructed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we swept the Cavs in the playoffs. From this game alone anyone with half a brain can see this team is just no match for us. We played horribly fundamentally all game long even with the big quarter. Jameer is horrible at decision making but we have known that for a long time. His offense makes up for it sometimes though.

Huh? They are a better team than us. Better record....haven't they beaten us twice this year so far. Not sure where you get that we would sweep them. Is that from the Orlando ALmanac or something??? They are just better than we are. We could upset them of course.

Look at how we have lost. First game was without the player we have that they have no answer for. The second game we played like complete trash for 4 quarters and still almost won the game. There is no way we make this many unforced errors in a series. I am sorry but this Cav team is not better than the Magic. The Lakers are far better than the Magic and the Celtics when healthy are there but the Cavs are not.

They had a much better record than us last year as well.

Dont mention that they didnt have Mo williams lol. Magic are not the better team. They have no one on that team that can defend Lebron one on one.

I think everyone should also put into perspective the CAREER night that JJ hickson had. I think most can agree that this will not happen again. He def had some lucky rolls his way, and it was just one of those nights.

I even remember in the Game Trax where Stan basically says who the f*** is a JJ hickson. classic SVG.

He had a career night because Stan told Rashard not to guard him. He did the same thing with Darren Collison and it burned us. Unfortunatly, tonight VC didn't score 48 points to save us.

No, he didn't do the same thing with Collison. Collison is actually an extremely good PG who's averaging 17points/8assists on games he has started.

These excuses are hilarious. Cavs were missing their 2nd best player and still won the game.

Very true. I am impressed by my Magic team tonight. We would beat them.

LOL you guys are hilarious. Go ahead and say that you guys had 4 games in 5 nights but the Cavs didnt have Mo Williams. Face the Magic are a finesse team that live and die by the 3. Isnt not that obvious

He was a -2 like Howard.

We have to be a finess team against you....We can't touch anyone.

Really because the refs gave ticky tac fouls against the cavs. They didnt let them play physical. How many pts did Howard have after Shaq came in the game?

Shaq was -5 this game. Does that tell you enough? lol... the whole notion that Shaq is a good defender against Dwight is so ridiculous. The one time he made Dwight miss (which was that blocked shot) Dwight still was able to get the rebound and dunk it in.

He was -2 like Howard. Howard did play a good game but Shaq defending Howard means no double team

Shaq had nothing to do with limiting Dwight. Dwight commiting stupid fouls limited Dwight. As far as your comment about how many Dwight scored after Shaq came back in, we don't go to Dwight late in the 4th for obvious reasons.

Howard was +5, Shaq was -5. Not doubling Dwight means nothing if Dwight's gonna score on Shaq regardless.

Is Mo Williams that much better than Daniel Gibson? They play the exact same way.

Everyone laughed at us when we faced the Cavs last season. They had the best record and Lebron. Most experts predicted a sweep. Trust me when the Playoffs roll around the Cavs will fold. One man teams never win when it counts.

Some are in denial. Cleveland is better this year. One reason being Lebron James, the best player on the planet. Also did anybody notice how Hickson killed Rashard and we did not adjust. Stan is way too stubborn but we needed Bass tonight. The stretch 4 is a dead strategy that will not go far in the playoffs. We kept it close in the first half because we shot well from beyond the arc. We will not win it this year but at least we are a top tier team. Not championship yet. We are missing something. Go Magic!!!
