With Nelson (20-12)...With J. Will (13-4) Sentinel

The team hasn't suffered much without him this season.

The Magic are 13-4 in games he's missed.

With him, the team is 20-12.

Williams' only significant difficulties have come when he's played in the second game of a back-to-back. On Tuesday, however, the Bucks were the ones who were completing a back-to-back.

Agree with the author...extended minutes give J. Will difficulties...but DANG!...you can't dismiss that stat.

J-Will obviously plays well with limited minutes. The team has won a lot of games with him playing limited minutes. Why do we want to take Jameer, who has been playing well and probably better than J-Will as a starter the past 8 or so games and move J-Will from the bench, where he is already effective mind you, so that we can...I am not sure what it accomplishes.

Well, it lets people who gather their opinions from the Orlando Sentinal and garbage basketball websites feel like they bring unique thought to message boards I guess but thats hardly a good reason for anything.

And Ball Junkie you and I had a disagreement about Rashard a couple weeks back and I told you he'd break out of his slump and you said something along the lines of "that's closer to impossible than unlikely" And it took about 20 hours before he posted his best game in weeks. Point being? You obviously can't stay in the moment as a fan and need to back off on judging players and hoping for line-up changes if you plan to be wrong conistently.

I can dismiss that stat really easily, actually. Watch:

Our record with Jason Williams starting: 13-4(.764)

Our record with Dwight Howard starting: 33-16(.673)

Ergo: Jason Williams is better than Dwight Howard.

See how stupid that logic is?

Ha-Ha...Nelson ain't the answer, imo...If I end up being wrong I'll have no qualms admitting it.

First thing is getting him healthy which at this point looks unlikely...

what kind of medical evidence do you have to substantiate your claims of a return to health being unlikely for Jameer at this point?

You should look at this way:

so Our Our record with Dwight Howard starting and Nelson starting: 20-12

And Our Our record with Dwight Howard starting and Jwill starting: 13-4

it speaks itself

ahh the statistical debate, it's very easy to manipulate arguements based on stats.

So we beat Milwaukee and Detroit (for the most part) without Nelson, big deal.

I don't think we could've won both games against Boston and Hawks without Jameer Nelson. So with Jameer and JWill sharing minutes, we have two effective point guards. Basically I'm saying I'd rather have Nelson/JWill than JWill/AJ.

Or I could just look at it as you're an obnoxious moron, and have the reading comprehension skills of a prairie vole. But I'll humor you with a different example.

Spurs starting Antonio McDyess at PF: 3-0)1.000)

Spurs with Tim Duncan starting at PF: 24-19(.558)

Ergo: The Spurs are better off with McDyess than with Duncan.

Not really, if they played the same position sure but, one is not replacing the other. So, the debate of best record doesn't apply. You also need to apply applicable ratios. With at least a similar number of games. Just so you don't throw out a D12 vs Gortat ratio comparison lol

So how similar is similar then, genius? Because on the surface, 17 and 32 aren't all that similar.
