If he knew anything about the game and could actually coach, he could yell, be the biggest ahole in the NBA, and the players would still have some respect for him. What the hell was that exchange with the refs about singing a song? (talking about when he was wired live against LA). I thought Stan always says the problem is lack of focus? This guy cannot coach to save his life. I suspect he only got the assistant and Miami coaching job because his brother knew Riley. your lack of knowledge doesn't surprise me anymore. I wish there were a couple of sticky threads with general discussion topics where people can post their stuff and it would be read without getting lost. **************************** Here is my 2 cents on Stan and Vince/Hedo: - Stan: Stan is not the best motivator for sure. His personal skills may lack some warm approachable older brother figure. He is also very animated and expressive. Doesn't like keeping anything in. May not make the best decision on lineups and rotations, or offensive gamesets. But.. He is a very demanding person, perfectionist kind of. And he is not afraid of any player or Stern to speak his mind. He seems also very good with statistics and kind of a clever guy. So, let's look at achievements of Magic during his time: 07-08 improved from 40 to 52 wins, one MIP award, 2nd round 08-09 improved to 59 wins, one DPOY award, COY nomination, Finals I would say that keep Stan, but hire some good assistant coaches for more offensive creativity. - Vince/Hedo: Vince is probably the best dunker in the NBA history and a solid scorer. However he doesn't seem to play very well with other established scorers around him (Jameer, Rashard). Vince needs the ball in his hands to get himself going, and he doesn't have the awareness of his teammates needs that much. He takes the easy route way too much with 2 feet behind the 3pt line chuckers. Hedo was not very athletic and a relatively inconsistent scorer, but his dribbling skills and game IQ was very high. In addition, his personal awareness was very high, and he always tried to get all the teammates involved in the game early. Hedo needed the ball in his hands to get his teammates going (especially Rashard). That's why he was mr.4th quarter, he didn't look for his shot until late in the game, which might explain some inconsistency. He also didn't always perform well with minimal rest between games. So, the problem this season is that: Jameer is a solid scorer , so he looks to get himself going early (as opposed to Alston whose shooting was secondary). Rashard needs to be fed the ball to score (can't create his own much), and same with Dwight. So, we are left with Barnes/Pietrus and vince in the starting lineup. Now, Barnes doesn't handle the ball much, and Pietrus is not known to pass anything. Vince is the guy who should be balancing this starting lineup by creating mainly for Rashard and Dwight. He is not doing it so far, and our starting lineup always gets outplayed by the other team. I agree. Great post. I can

But your lack of ability to respond with something other than noob one liners is totally expected When mods display they now ZERO about the game its also not surprising there's all these little kids calling the long-time fans of the game/team "trolls" etc. The mods are just as lost! LOL (that's pretty sad)
