Maybe it is you and not the economy, because the teams that added salary want to win the title next year. The ones that have no chance dumped contracts. It was the summer of the have's and the have not's.

I think you are looking at this wrong. He is not a back up he is a trading piece that is very valuable. So we are hedging our bets for latter and putting together a killer line up.
