If there ever was a chance for Fran to crack our starting 5 it would be this year. If he is smart he gains a buyout and attempts to get in a Magic uniform. Obviously prior to the Carter trade and soon to be Hedo being gone, Fran would have had a hard time finding minutes. If he comes over now he may get minutes and spot starting. Who knows what we will do, but my guess is after this off season it will be much much hard for Fran to ever get a chance to crack the rotation. If you can secure Fran coming over then if Gortat leaves there is less worry. Also I wonder what he thought when he saw the magic playing against his fellow country man Pau Gasol in the finals. I bet he was thinking he could have been there.

I make jokes about Rakovic all the time, so i definitly havent forgotten him. Would be nice to see him in our summer league though.

By basketball standards, 6'10" is not almost 7' but yes he would definitely add some muscle to the end of our bench if nothing else. What i found interesting is that he was 5/13 from 3 point range, I know the European 3 is different but that's good to see that he has some sort of jump shot. In my opinion it would be good for him to get another year or two of seasoning before he comes over and tries to crack our squad but im always open to seeing what he can do in the summer league.

You can never have too many big bodies at the end of the bench. His numbers don't look bad and he seems to be rated pretty well on the second link. Hopefully we will get a chance to see what he's got. Anybody know about his contract situation?
