Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 quote: Originally posted by Brian_Cook_Phan:did skip get hurt? what happened? AJ was playing ok but not great skip was playing like crap on D. Miller abused him early and it set a trend for the rest of the game. he'll play harder game 3 though.
Captain Hi-Top 791 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 quote: Originally posted by Brian_Cook_Phan:did skip get hurt? what happened? AJ was playing ok but not great AJ was able to get a little more physical on defense than Rafer was, and it was working, so Stan kept him in. Unless Alston was injured and I just missed it at the game.
COLOMBIANO 118 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Miller is simply too strong for Alston. Didn't a reporter say that Alston was on steroids?

TheRevTy 6 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Andre Miller might be the one point guard in the league that Anthony Johnson matches up well with, or at least relatively so.
AcuWill 45 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 AJ had a very solid game on offense and defense. ZI love his effort too. There was a stretch in the third I think where he played so hard he literally had to be given a breather by Rafer before he could go back into the game. duelingdragons 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I was impressed by AJ... he shut Miller down. Alson gave him 13 points in 6 minutes in the 1st....................
PNuT1423 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 i'd like to see more aj vs. miller, they're both aging, taller, bigger point guards, lol a veteran match up of pump fakes and fake outs. whatever if aj beats the hell out of miller for 40 mins and fouls out then it's kickass in my book. ucfknights22 5 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I really wasn't surprised by the decision tonight. AJ was clearly playing better than Rafer from the start. I was at the game and I remember the team playing better after the switch. Not saying that AJ is a god but the substitution did change the performance of the team as a whole. Good mid game coaching decision imo.
Orl Native 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 Rafer looked lost on Miller. He just doesnt match up well with him for all the obvious reasons. AJ looked great and was'nt turning the ball over as much as Skip, also without a neck Miller wasn't able to turn on him on the wing.
