You're Fat, Pat! 98 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Dan, do you have any info about when the first playoff game will be? We know it will either be Saturday or Sunday, but do you think you could tell us exactly when it is? Or is that "classified information?" haha.
Dan Savage 119 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 It probably won't be announced until the last day of the season. TV stations make that call based on which matchups they want to feature at which times.

CaliMagicFan 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 There is no insider info to have. ABC and TNT make the call once the matchups are determined, and they figure out which games they want to feature, and which they shuttle off to a worse time.
ThisIsTheYear 241 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 quote: Originally posted by CaliMagicFan: and they figure out which games they want to feature, I can count the number of times an NBA playoff game was restricted to NBAtv on one hand. We had two against Toronto..
CaliMagicFan 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Yeah, it's not hard to figure out. Lakers will be on Sunday at 3:30 on ABC. I'd bet whichever of us, Cavs or Celts (for sure if it isn't us) that end up playing Detroit will be on the Saturday 3:30 ABC game. Whatever the best western series is (like if it stays Portland-Spurs) will be the Saturday night prime time TNT game. Especially if we play Philly, we'll be all over nba tv and the crap tnt games (6pm Sunday night.)
Natmayo 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 We will probably be the first game on Sunday.
CaliMagicFan 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Just looked through next weekend's tv listings. Looks like there's a 3pm game on ABC both days. Then there's 5:30, 8, then 10:30 games on ESPN Sat, then TNT Sun. Guarantee you unless we play the Pistons, we're in one of the 5:30 games, Hawks/Heat will be the other. Spurs will be one 8pm game, whoever of Bos/Cle doesn't play the Pistons will be the other. Then the Rockets and Nuggets series will be shuttled off to the 10:30 games.
