Dan Savage 119 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Hey everyone, I just got back from today's shootaround as the Magic prepare for the Nets. Here's what Stan and the players had to say: http://www.nba.com/magic/news/...quotes_03062009.html Also just an update for you guys here (not in the shootaround page). I talked to Gortat about the five chickens and if he ate them once he got home. He said: "I got through two, but was full after that. I realize now that quickness is more important than being big." Secretly Space Jesus 670 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 quote: Originally posted by TheRevTy:Wonder how he prepared them. Raw or live? They were cooked. Gortat just glared at them until they barbequed themselves. Given what would've happened if they hadn't, it was probably a smart decision on the part of the chickens. ThisIsTheYear 241 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 lol at SVG. On the Nets: quote: "They are playing great right now He'll say that about everyone, even the Wizards. I'd prefer it if Coaches/Players/Staff were (brutally) honest, rather than coating every response with modesty.

I agree with that.He can say that we are playing much better and we are a good team.I think being modest is not a good way to prepare your team. also I love the way that Gortat responded. he is a funny guy. Skywise316 211 Report post Posted March 7, 2009 What struck me was Rafer calling Devin Harris "an All Star quality point guard." LOL I'll give Rafer a pass because he was in the West for so long, but uh, yeah... he was kinda an All Star.. this year. All Star Weekend Rafer was probably in the bahamas not worrying about b-ball other than Yao gettin' hurt. Gortat is awesome. He clearly belongs in the Magic's goofy locker room.
