I don't know why anyone would think that he's making 8m a year, particularly since back when he was asking for an extension, he was asking for one matching the one Devin Harris got, which he didn't get. The reported contract was 5 years/35m dollars. I don't know where ESPN got their numbers, but either their wrong or every previous report about the contract was.
