Yes he did, and yes they would. However, if JWill wanted to play, he could simply instruct his agent to approach the Clippers and negotiate a buyout of his contract.

I am willing to bet that will be exactly the case with JWill later in the season. He will wait to see what teams are contenders that can use his services and latch on after the All-Star break.

This is Stephon's numbers. You actually think we could not use this guy. He had his best 3 pt. % of his career last year and the year before he had the most 3 pointers of his career. He has been on a very bad team that was going nowhere. He would be a great addition and he would take over the backup point guard spot immediately. In the last few years of his career, you would think he is ready to contribute to a team that has a chance to win 50+ games and go deep in the playoffs.

This preseason he had a very good game against Boston. He still has more than enough in the tank.

The problem with Marbury is what he wants. And he want to be the starter and he wants the ball, and he believes he is the best PG in the league, that

you would have to take marbury if he agreed to be the sixth man, what we need off the bench is scoring, we've signed the likes of vernon maxwell and kemp in the past so i think it could happen.

By my count, 77 percent of the members want another point guard...either Marbury or Tinsley.

I guess that means the board isn't happy with what we have...? Hhhhmmm.......?

Tinsley or Marbury Magic need a good pg.

And trade jj cook and maybe a pick for a back up or young PF.

But i think otis trade a third pg with trade only.

Marc Stein chat going on right now:

quote:

Mark Orlando, FL: Marc, It seems there are a lot of teams in need of point guard help. What movement do you see happening in the next month or so (Marbury, Tinsley, one of the Memphis guys)?

Marc Stein: (5:14 PM ET ) Marbury won't be out of work long if he indeed completes the buyout they've begun to discuss. As noted in the Weekend Dime, Dallas has some real interest and there will be a few others, surely.

Marc Stein: (5:15 PM ET ) Tinsley is a more complicated case because the Pacers don't want to buy him out. They insist on trading him and there's no market for Tinsley right now. Given Tinsley's rep, teams like him a lot better as a low-wage free agent compared to the idea of trading for him.

Marc Stein: (5:16 PM ET ) As for Memphis and all its point guards, it would help if the Grizz could get one or two playing well.

I didn't realize J-Will would possibly still be an option.

I was all about J-Will before this A.J. business started up out of nowhere this summer. He's just about as good on offense/bad on defense as Tinsley except Tinsley's probably a little better athlete and a little better passer while J-Will's a whole heck of a lot better shooter... and mainly, he doesn't have the headcase issues of either Tinsley or Starbury.

Comparing A.J. and J-Will? Sorry, this is no comparison. I thought A.J.'s defense would be better than this, but it hasn't been. So we wouldn't be losing anything there anyway.

Cut Mike Wilks, sign J-Will, and make him Jameer's backup immediately upon arrival. A.J. becomes our third point guard/injury insurance and I become mega happy as would Magic fans everywhere.
