I enjoy reading this message board and appreciate when I get to read volumes of opinions from participants, whether I agree or disagree. I want to hear the negatives. . . I want to hear the positive comments My point is, I have been reading a lot of criticisms about individual Magic players--which is fine with me. But when I mention something that I observed about a Magic player during a game, which is viewed as negative (like last night), I get a down vote. Remember when Cole scored 20 pts in a game we won (out of the last 11 remaining games in the season). I, along with one or two other participants, pointed out how inconsistent Cole is on offense. When I posted, I used the expression "ball hog" and how in the playoffs Cole could cause the Magic to lose a game playing "hero ball". I was the only participant who was critical of Cole that got a down vote. Last night, in the game against Houston, I received a down vote for an observation I made about 2 Magic players who were falling to the floor a lot. I was concerned about possible injuries. Suggs fell backwards about 3 or 4 times. I have not seen any other down votes given to other participants on this message board in a while where Magic players were criticized..

To add to this, some of our players spent more time in a horizontal rather than vertical position--sometimes Mo Wagner but Suggs was laid out a lot on the floor. He had a hard time keeping himself vertical.

First of all, All Eyes, the criticism of Cole did not start after last night's game was over. Me and some others have talked about him being a ball hog before last night's game. So are you telling me there was ball movement everytime the Magic was on offense, and the ball ended up in Cole's hands because he was the only teammate open? I don't think so. For me, it was not about waiting until the game was over to state an opinion about Cole. I was focused on the game and how the entire team was involved or not involved. I also had another window open on my computer to read the message board participants' comments. By the way, only 6 or 7 participants posted comments during last night's game, and there were only 2 pages of comments from the beginning of the game until the end of the game (when the game clock hit zero). There were only about 6 or 7 board members posting comments during the game. I figured that most posters were too focused on the game and didn't want to stop every second to post a comment. It was either that or they were posting or reading comments on the Magic Realgm Message Board. I don't think it's fair to call posters who criticize Cole and call us haters. Every person has their opinion. That is harsh to say we/me are haters. I like Joe Ingles. I sometimes post shoutouts to Joe when he does something well. Does anyone call me an Ingles 'lover' as opposed to 'hater'? We lost the game, and there are a number of things that factor into why we lost like not making free throws. But what really stood out to me was lack of ball movement which led to hero ball from Cole. Cole is a very inconsistent player from one game to another. I HOPE THE MAGIC WIN 7 OR 8 GAMES OF THE REMAINING REGULAR SEASON GAMES!!! GO MAGIC!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Cole play almost the entire 4th quarter? E.V.E.R.Y time Cole had the ball in his hands, I feared he was going to shoot. Sure, he did make a number of shots. But each time I saw him with the ball, I was going "get ready" and "there he goes"--my body was tensed. Fortunately he made big shots. Cole is not consistent game to game. In an earlier post I said I fear that if we make the playoffs, Cole will shoot us out of a game(s).

Mods, can you please pin the poll I generated about the Magic's record for the 11 games remaining this season? I don't know why anyone thought the Magic would beat the Warriors. They beat us without their best defender at center. The Warriors won without hot-headed Draymond after he was ejected from the game. Of the 11 remaining teams, there are several fighting to make the playoffs or play-ins. BY THE WAY: I FORGOT TO INCLUDE 6-5 IN THE POLL. I EDITED AND INSERTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POLL.

The Magic has 11 games left in the regular season. You all know that I am a huge, diehard Magic fan. Now hear me out. In looking at the teams we play in the remaining 11 games of the regular season, my opinion is the Magic will lose 9 of them. Look at the schedule. If the Magic players try to play iso instead of moving the ball around to find the open teammate, we are going to be in a lot of trouble. We need to play at a faster pace and make our free throws. Lastly, the coach needs to make better rotations. Other teams are going to take advantage, scoring wise, if the Magic chuck too many 3s and they are not falling. What do you think? I HOPE WE WIN 9 GAMES OUT OF 11!

I agree. Anyone but Cole. As you said he was going to try to be the hero. As I said in another thread, this is going to happen with Cole in the playoffs if there is a close game.

CT, the last game Markelle played in, it was him coming off the bench. He did not take anything away from Paolo and Franz. He was able to draw attention to himself, leaving it open for Paolo and Franz to do their thing. Markelle did not clog up the paint each time Paolo went in for those thunderous dunks. While Markelle handled the ball, the opposing players were more focused on what he was going to do instead of waiting for Franz or Paolo dribbling into paint and triple-teamed while trying to make a layup.
