2014 Draft Thread

A big reason why the NBA piques Exum's interest is because it's a point guard-friendly league. His dream teams are the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers, as he's friends with Victor Oladipo—they met at Indiana during Exum's recruiting visit—and Kobe Bryant is one of his two favorite players (the other is Derrick Rose).

This is great news for the Magic. ESPN’s Chad Ford reported that the Magic are very high on Exum, ranking him third on their current draft board behind Andrew Wiggins and Marcus Smart. Since Exum has played his high school ball in Australia, not much is known about the dynamic player who has dominated in his international opportunities. Still only 18, Exum might be the Magic’s best option to fit alongside Victor Oladipo in the back-court. At 6’6″ he has the size to guard shooting guards, with the ball skills to comfortably initiate the offense. Marcus Smart is a great player, but his skills overlap with Oladipo. Exum would bring variety in addition to some much needed scoring punch.

He's too old to draft but I really hope we sign DeAndre Kane as an UFA. He's a 6'4 PG who I think could actually develop into a decent role player and he'd certainly play the PG position better than either of Lamb or Moore. Averaging 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 53% from the field, 36% from 3 and shooting 7.5 FTA's per game (not a great FT shooter though).

Marcus Smart so good to start the game. 2 rebounds, 3 assists (could have about 5) and 2 steals (only taken 1 shot so far, 0 points). Wiggins not made a shot yet.

Wayne Selden fouling just took away what would have been a ridiculous block by Embiid on Smart.

EDIT: I think? Lol after that there was lots of pushing and shoving and technicals... This game might turn into a brawl.
