Shams Charania reported that the Magic “intend to” interview him. This seems to be what caused the confusion.  He has not yet interviewed nor has there been an announcement that he definitely will.

Our goal was to have a coach before the lottery. That's Tuesday. So it should happen soon.

I don't think so. We fired Vogel a month ago and there was seemingly no chance Casey would be fired until after the game last Thursday.
