I can't say I trust our team's management to do the right thing even if there is a new GM/president.

So far, I can't say that I am impressed with the new management and I can't feel that we will make the right decision until I see the team make the right decision consistently.

What I am saying is that I am ready for them to make the wrong/bad Gordon related decision, whatever that decision may be.

Yup

I guess I just don't get why.  He's the exact type of player this FO would draft and she's shown sustained improvement (slumping a bit recently, I'll admit).  I suppose listening can't hurt in case some team blows your socks off.

Not as if late he hasn't. He's been so focused on offense that his defense has nose dive. Isaac at the 4 is what I think they envision. AG is not good at the 3.

Isaac has more value at the 3. As a 4 he's more normalized.  As a 3 he can just rise over defenders

Bro I’ve questioned the injury since day one. The whole thing seems suspect but everyone seems content to “shut him down” and just assume the team is shipping him to a hyperbolic chamber to turn into SS Isaac. It’s almost three months now with the ankle sprain and he’s not close to coming back? What the hell. He needs to be on the court helping himself and his teammates get better.

I severely sprained my ankle in a game about 35 years ago. It swelled up to look like a softball on each side of my ankle and the Dr said I would have been a lot better off if it had been broken. I was in a boot for 3 months and wasn't able to play for almost a year. It never did get 100% back.  That ankle still gives me some twinges of pain once in a great while if I step wrong. It all depends on how severe and what part of the ankle is sprained.

Maybe but Vic was far more advanced offensively and always d'ed up.

No.  We had a good couple months of "is oladipo's defense overrated?" discussions.

It takes time for players to find the balance.

Yeah but with the way he moves on the perimeter would be a matchup from hell for 4's as well.

So reliable sources say we have been listening to offers for Gordon.  But i imagine it would require significant return.

Top 5 pick, young player showing promise, and 2 lightly protected 1sts does it for me. I would love to have 2 top 5 picks this year!

Dipo was still good overall. He always gave effort. AG's been slacking.

Agree with the latter but I don't see the offense that Vic has in AG.

Nah. If we're moving AG, it better be for young talent playing in the NBA now. No need for two high picks in this draft.

I knew we would.

Build Isaac's strength up, see what AG fetches, if it's significant, make the move and save cap space and Isaac becomes our future 4/3.

What are we saving cap space for in this scenario? The return is very unlikely to match Gordon's future value and Isaac has shown nothing to indicate he deserves that type of consideration. This isn't a Harris vs. Gordon issue, where Harris almost had to be traded to open up more room for Gordon.

Well, you give AG the max and he's nothing more than Thad Young, he won't be movable until he's an expiring contract.

Him and Fournier or Vuch would definitely be valuable.

I understand about Isaac but they drafted him for a reason. They had a vision with him. They are making moves for the future and his shotblocking mixed with his ability to put the ball on the floor and stretch the offense and on a rookie deal makes AG somewhat expendable.
