So we should have more questionable fit?

I've always thoughts JJ's basketball iq was very underrated. I'd love him on a short deal but know it's not happening

To have stability, spacing and leadership at the PG position. I'd give Hill a nice three year deal if we could.

...and we'd still be a lottery team only we'd have little to no flexibility with cap space. We'd essentially turn into the Knicks when Isiah Thomas was president. I like Hill, he's a good player, but it's not smart for us now.

I'm not sure we'd be a lottery team with Hill at PG.

Any steps to improve the team are welcome to me. Tanking has failed.

Golden state might sign rudy gay?

That's supposedly their plan if Iggy leaves. Gay in the Iggy role is not a great fit, but with that much talent, they'll make it work.

Tanking has failed because the only year we fully tanked may have been the worst draft class in NBA history

It's a long shot, and even if we did make it we'd likely just be the unlucky team that gets to be swept by LeBron in the 1st round. I'm tired of losing as much as anyone but going all in for the 8th seed and sacrificing flexibility is not smart. It's basically what we tried to do last year and it put us in the horrible spot we're in now, let's fix the problem instead of compounding it.

You lose flexibility by signing bad players to bad contracts (Biz, Ingles), you retain flexibility with good players on big contracts (Hill).

Meh. Hill, Ingles and Biyombo are all good role players
