~O~ 565 Report post Posted July 6, 2015 Aaron Gordon and Hezonja have impressed me. Elfrid Payton still looks to same to me from what I've seen in the regular season. The progress worth seeing is the confidence to take an open shot when its there. The disrespect of Payton's defender continuously sags off him on the bet that he'll miss the shot on attempt has become a reoccurring annoyance. The improvement I specifically want to see is Payton taking isolation or spot up attempts throughout the game rather then last minute heroic heaves. Payton needs to be confident enough to attempt mid range and threes when they're open because those are high percentage shots. The understanding is that these type of shots aren't great shots if you're a low percentage shooter. Is he improving on his shooting mechanics? It hasn't really showed. The shooting is my only concern with Elfrid Payton. In comparison to Aaron Gordon in summer league play, he hasn't put enough effort in improving it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
