Soul Bro

The Official Trade Thread

Recommended Posts

Here's the question, Orlando fans: would you want to trade for Rondo now that he has a torn ACL? Seriously? If they offered us the above trade ... plus their first rounder this year or next, would you do it? (Obviously we'd dump all but Rondo and Fab).

I find it an interesting opportunity. Whether they want to accept it or not, Boston is committed to winning now. They have serious money tied up for the next couple of years (http://www.basketbal...tracts/BOS.html). Adding these three players would at least keep them in the hunt. (I'd rather include AA instead of JJ).

For Orlando, it would allow us to stash away a young borderline all-star, let us secure another pick, and help in our tanking effort for the next one to two years.

What say you?

Yes, I LOVE Rondo. I always thought he would be a nice guy to have next to Dwight when he was here too.

Here is a crazy idea. Keep the players that are good now or have potential to be good and trade the bad or selfish players and the ones that have very little potential to improve. In other words, keep JJ, Jameer, Moore, Nicholson, Harkless, Jones, Vucevic, O'Quinn. Trade or release EVERYBODY else.

Two more ideas. This time with Phoenix:

1. JJ for their own 1st rounder: http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=b9w8jq2

Phoenix needs a leader and is terrible at shooting the three. We could end up with two top picks. Is JJ worth that? Hmmm...

or

2. AA for Marshall: http://espn.go.com/n...tradeId=bhd2a3j

Phoenix could also use AA, and we could use the salary dump. Oh and Soul (wink.gif) wouldn't mind giving Marshall a chance.

No. 2 sounds great, don't know anything about Marshall, but losing AA is a bonus no matter what.

No. 1 is there a clutch player who gives 110% every night in the draft that can shoot lights out?

Re: Redick ... Losing him would kill me, too. :(

I'd do number 2 every day of the week. I don't think Phoenix would do either though :(

I hate you. Your AA is the devil/JJ for MVP attitude really annoys me.

Arron Afflalo isn't the best player, I'm the best player. Arron Afflalo is the devil.
