Ehhhh, screw it. Let's just hire Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket and call it a day. I'm sure he would make Dwight feel all bright and cheery.

Do people really want Scott Skiles? The dude comes in, helps a team for the first year or two because of his defense and attention to detail, but the team never gets any better because all he does is scream and cry and ***** and moan and everyone tunes him out. He's a poor man's Stan Van Gundy.

Sloan was able to deal with Karl Malone and Carlos Boozer. No one teaches the pick and roll better than Sloan.

Comparing Sloan and Skyles is idiotic. Only player I've ever heard having a beef (and I'm young, so if there were beefs with his older teams I'm not sure) with him is Deron Williams.

Phil's the top of my list, and then probably Sloan, and finally Shaw.

No to Sloan. I think he is done, I do not think he would have the patience. I think if we want to keep howard then Phil is it, next best would be a younger person who has playing experience which leads to Shaw. Maybe Nate as well. Hey it looks like there is plenty of options out there. Yeah we will probably lose some X and O's that Stan had, but I think we will improve shiitloads in all other areas.

Although I think Sloan would be one of the best choices on there, it's clear that him and D12 would clash and we would be right back to square-1. Plus, I think DWill would get into his head about how "bad" of a coach Sloan was to him.

Phil, Shaw, or bust at this point.

Get Walsh as our GM.

Lets start anew.

I spent a few years in Utah and attended quite a few Jazz games. Trust me when I say that there were a LOT of screaming matches between Sloan and Jazz players not named Deron Williams. Also, this is the second time you've mentioned Malone and Boozer as headcases despite the fact that I've heard very little (Malone) to nothing (Boozer) to support that argument.

Adrian Wojnarowski and Greg Anthony from Yahoo sports bring up Troy Weaver from OKC for a possible GM candidate:

My link

I really like the idea of Troy Weaver if we're going to rebuild. The guy has done a great job as Sam Presti's right hand man. As has been reported previously, because of his urging, he is a big reason why OKC drafted Westbrook.

If OKC win the Championship, he also then brings the "Championship experience" that Martins and the DeVos family are looking for.

Even if we aren't looking to rebuild, this is an organization who has made quite good spot moves. Brought in Daquan Cook to be a shooter off the bench, Derek Fisher to be a stabilizing veteran who can shoot off the ball and provide leadership and champion experience. Traded a "what position can he even play in a bad way" Jeff Green for a good defensive center with championship pedigree in Kendrick Perkins.

He drafts well, makes good signings/trades. Anyone from the OKC team is good in my mind.

Couldn't agree more! Interestingly, Presti started in San Antonio and has created the same culture with OKC. He has surrounded himself with smart, basketball people who all specialise in different areas of management.

If we can re-produce that San Antonio/OKC model here, then we are well on our way with or without Dwight.
