The Official Dwight Howard Everything Thread

Philly Played all sucky teams And gets all the media attention that they are better Why cant we have some fun

That's true.

Anyways, it kinda irks me when I hear our fans saying stuff like "oh look at us, blah blah". This team is NOT a championship contender, very unfortunately.

U never Know

The way people are getting injured, you may be right.

I think that Miami and OKC would be the only teams that would be too strong for us in 7 games. In other words, we could beat anyone but we could also lose to anyone

Bulls are overrated and the rest of the league is close to our value

These next few games will say a lot. NYK on Monday, San Antonio Wednesday, Lakers Friday, and Boston on Monday. I'd be very happy if we won 3 out of those 4.

Id start partying if we won 4 out of the 4 and can be achieved really easily if Carmelo is out on Monday, spurs suck, Guard Kobe well on Friday, and for Boston idk

Guys, we're not getting Deron Williams.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/14/report-if-howard-goes-to-l-a-the-nets-look-to-rebuild-again/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

If Howard is traded to a team like Lakers, the Nets look to rebuild… again

ESPN reports that if Dwight Howard is traded possibly to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Nets will be forced to shop Deron Williams for a trade to avoid losing him in free agency for nothing, knowing that Williams would be a virtual lock to leave come July.

If Orlando keeps Howard or deals him anywhere else but L.A. or Dallas before the deadline, thus keeping alive its dream of pairing the two in Brooklyn next fall, New Jersey will wait and try to acquire Howard during the summer.

The Nets, in other words, would have to be all the way out of the Howard Sweepstakes before abandoning their plans, having sacrificed so much last February (Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and two first-round picks) just to get D-Will.

Only way Nets would think about trading D-Will is if we trade Diwght.

If we keep Dwight, the Nets will just wait for this summer to get him via free agency, while we basically just let Dwight walk.

Either way, the only way Dwight and D-Will play together would be during free agency if Dwight joins D-Will with the Nets, or they both go to Dallas as free agents.

Regarding trading with the Lakers, seems LA has a different priority now. Here's the LA Times article published today. No mention of Lakers still looking into Dwight or even anything related to Dwight at all:

LOS ANGELES -- It has been a month since Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak told reporters the team was still "pursuing big deals" in the aftermath of the vetoed Chris Paul trade that resulted in Lamar Odom ultimately being shipped to Dallas as a consequence.

Things have died down since then.

"We don't expect to sign anybody any time soon," Kupchak said.

Now the top priority taking up his time is preparing for the 2012 NBA draft. The Lakers will have two first-round picks this June after receiving Dallas' first-round selection as a part of the Odom trade.

Kupchak recently returned from a scouting trip to the East coast where he saw five games in five nights, mostly featuring teams in the Big East conference.

"It's the only way to do it," Kupchak said.
