Offseason Thread pt V: The Sentinel Strikes Back (and makes us sad)

Recommended Posts

I've heard stories about the following players being jerks or behaving in a way that we as fans would not like-

Kobe, MJ, Kareem, Bird, Chamberlin, Pippen. As much as it stinks not all great players are the people we would want them to be. Just some food for thought.

Add John Stockton to that list. Saw him at Disneyland, just waiting in line when I was about 12. Me and my 10 year old brother asked if we could get a picture with him, and he turned us away. Meanwhile, Jeff Hornacek is over watching his and John's little kids and makes the effort to take a picture with each of us individually. Love Horny. Class act.

Well folks, seems like a lockout is inevitable.

How many ways are we getting *****ed in this? The Dwight crap, no all-star game possibly. Man this sucks :svgsad:.

And that's not even the important stuff! SOOOOOOOOOO many peoples jobs are going to be effected by this, right down to the people who sell popcorn at concession stands at games.

Just terrible. After such a fantastic season, and especially playoffs, we have come to this.

Players just left bargaining session en masse, all wearing NBPA T-shirts that said, "STAND," and boarded a bus.

If Cuomo is qualified to mediate dispute between Mets owners and Madoff trustees, he could divide up $4B by happy hour.

Mario Cuomo just sauntered through the media throng in front of the Omni Berkshire. Shouldn't he have gone inside to arbitrate #NBA talks?

In other words, as Kurt Vonnegut would say, the excrement has hit the air conditioning.

At this point, the players expect the owners to vote on a lockout in that Dallas board meeting.

According to #Suns player rep Jared Dudley, players declined to make a counterproposal to owners today. "We're too far apart," he said.

This blows :svgsad: so much damn waiting. It won't be long until we're talking about trading a 2017 2nd round pick for Chukwudiebere Maduabum.

I don't hold out hope for much change.

The NFL is all posturing though. They are going to get the deal done. Everything in the media is nonsense. The NBA's problems are real and the owners are definitely strapping in.

The Dwight Howard for Joe Johnson and Josh Smith trade story is completely false. It makes as much sense as the account that had the Suns sending Steve Nash to Siberia, err, Minnesota.
