Ned Ryerson 94 Report post Posted December 8, 2010 Physical contact improves team performance. For the journal Emotion, Michael Kraus, Cassey Huang and Dacher Keltner measured how frequently members of N.B.A. teams touched each other. Teams that touched each other frequently early in the 2008-2009 season did better than teams that touched less frequently, even after accounting for player status, preseason expectations and early season performance. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/07/opinion/07brooks.html?src=me&ref=homepage This is the year we went to The Finals... So we were probably doing a lot of touching.
