ML6 520 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 It's cliche, but UF plays to the level of their competition. I've watched every game this season and last and that seems to be a running theme. We're not going to blow many teams out. We don't have the style or personnel. Offensively, we pass the ball around the perimeter or dump it down to Macklin to see if he can hit one of those herky-jerky hooks. Not exactly rocket science. Some days we'll look great, others awful. We're a Jekyll & Hyde team and it really doesn't seem like that's going to change anytime soon. Are we a top 25 team in the nation? Probably. But there's a lot of the season left to play for us to get that answer. Bump.
E27 33 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 I know that it's pretty obvious that Arkansas is a small team, but man that Ole Miss game showed it. 11 blocks for Ole Miss? It was just painful to watch.
Trey Time 186 Report post Posted February 13, 2011 Well, that's our season. Singleton was the only guy on our team who could score. We're gonna look like the Cavs now.
Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 polls don't make much sense. UF is above UConn. UF has 5 losses to Ohio State (understandable), #117 UCF, #120 Jacksonville, #111 South Carolina, #126 mississippi state. Only two wins against current top 25 in the AP poll. http://masseyratings.com/cb/compare.htm using these rankings because it forms a consensus. Connecticut has 6 losses to #3 Pitt, #10 ND, #22 louisville twice, #15 Syracuse, and #20 st johns. They have wins against the current #5 team, #11 team, #15 team, and # 22 team in the current ap poll. UF beat Kentucky and Tennessee by a combined 3 points at home. UConn beat Kentucky by 17 at a neutral site and Tennessee by 11 at home.
Optimist Prime 197 Report post Posted March 12, 2011 UConn beat Syracuse in another OT thriller. They showed a replay of the 2009 game on ESPNU earlier today... What a great game. Who do you all have coming out of the Big East/ACC/SEC? Kentucky looks pretty good. And Duke will want some payback after their loss in Chapel Hill. ND/UConn final?
