That wouldn't happen for two reasons.

 

1. Both the Hornets and the Jazz have stud PFs.

2. Bosh's value has gone down this year.

not to mention that adding a great pg doesn't help them one bit. TEAMS NEED VERSATILITY!!! Adding Paul or Williams would only further limit Lebron and Wade's effectiveness.

I keep hearing people say this and it doesn't make any sense. How does adding a point guard that will dominate the ball help the Miami Heat?

Udonis Haslem's season might be over

 

MIAMI -- Heat forward Udonis Haslem may miss the remainder of the regular season after having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left foot, and free agent Erick Dampier has been signed to help fill the void that creates.

 

Haslem had surgery Tuesday, the same day Dampier took a physical with the Heat -- the last hurdle before a contract could be signed. Dampier practiced with the Heat that afternoon.

 

Haslem ruptured the Lisfranc ligament in his foot, which connects arch bones to the ones leading to his toes. His recovery could take more than four months. The Heat may consider applying for an injury exception if the determination is that Haslem's season is over.

 

Dampier worked out in September for Miami, which decided at that time not to offer him a contract.

 

To make room for Dampier, the Heat waived guard Jerry Stackhouse, whose contract was not guaranteed.

 

Since the moment Haslem was carried off in Memphis with his foot injury, Heat opponents have outrebounded Miami 64-44, including 20-7 on the offensive glass and while holding a 27-10 edge in second-chance points. LeBron James (5.4 per game) and Chris Bosh (7.2 per game) are on pace for career-lows in rebounding.

 

Take away Haslem, and the Heat don't have anyone ranked among the NBA's top 37 rebounders this season.

I'd like to see a 15 game playoff series between Orlando and Miami after we boost their front line and depth in return for Wade.

Looks like my initial reaction about the Heat are still the same. They have little paint protection and no frontline. No Rebounding (Haslem is not going to carry you forever even if he was healthy), ANY KG Celtic team would beat them (08,10,11), and having Wade and LeBron on the same team isn't... that great.

 

And yet, they still might beat the Magic tonight!

Dwyane Wade had just scored two baskets and assisted on two others by baiting the defense and finding the open man. The Heat had eliminated the Orlando Magic's once sizable lead.

 

The horn sounded and LeBron James tore off his warm-up and bounced onto the floor. The crowd at Amway Center was worried, so worried it forgot to boo James as it had been doing all night.

 

So this was it. Wade and James on the same team and ready to take control of a close road game against an elite team as they've done so often in their careers. When they were on that Miami stage back in July it was these moments they were dreaming of, eventually in June it was assumed.

Wade was starting to kill us when Lebron checked back in. Everyone probably thinks that Bosh would eventually be traded if this keeps up but I am starting to think Wade or Lebron should go. Who do you trade if your Riley? Do you wait and see what happens in the playoffs? What if they get beat in the first round and then a firestorm erupts in the summer? Or get clobbered in the 2nd? If you decide to trade one of them, do you keep Wade because it would make him a life long Miami Heat and rewards him for loyalty, or do you keep the younger guy who is a better player with no rings and a dominating entourage?

 

If Riley puts Wade or Lebron on the trading block, you would definitely get back the role players you would need to surround one of the two along with Bosh. Seems like Lebron should have given it one more go with Jamison, Mo, Hickson, and Varejao. NYC would have been the next best place. Chicago would be the same situation trying to share the ball with Rose.
