Hahaha, NBA 2k10 meets Smackdown Vs. Raw story mode

Hahaha, it kinda reminds me of UFC 2010 with they way you can respond in interviews and pressers

Just played the demo.

Having not played 2K10 in quite some time it was definitely an adjustment getting used to the control again. Players don't move as freely as they did, which is actually a good thing. They seem to have more realstic movements which I like.

Presentation seems to have improved and this is only the demo. You can notice the camera has changed. Gonna play it a few more times and see if I can get a better feel for it.

I struggled badly when I first got 2K10. It was so frustrating because of the response time between the animations and the actual time you would use a control. For instance, rebounding was a fairly hard learning curve for me...timing the animation so that the player grabs the ball at the peak of his jump. As I played on though, I started to gel with the new feel and really got addicted to the game, especially online matches (when they worked).

So to those who were frustrated and turned off when you initially played the game, just keep at it and you will be glad you did.

really enjoyed it. Seems to be a lot harder to drive and you can't just run by people (like in 2k10) without having to use any dribble moves. The way to contest shots seems to have gotten WAY better. You don't really get stuck jumping all over the place and the way they put their hands up looks way better. No more cheap baseline drives, and hopefully the game is a lot more balanced defensively. The demo was enough for me to get SUPER pumped. My Career is going to be awesome, I already loved My Player even though it had tons of bugs and missed a lot of things.

Wow that link showed me some new things I didn't hear about....can't wait!

As for the demo, I'm playing it non-stop...I feel like the movements of players are more realistic and there is no more of those long passes that magically get to a player. The defense in the game has definitely improved over 2K10's. Hopefully this starts to limit the cheesing of users but I can't wait for Oct. 5th.

Yeah, player movement is top notch. The most exciting thing is this is just the demo, and you know the real game is going to be much more polished. I'm stoked.

man, I'm really excited. Just by watching them play, too. I know they're probably not very good, but the LACK of easy dunks and layups is exactly what I wanted. I want this game to be a lot more than just being able to run by someone and dunk on everyone. Once My Player got good enough, the game got so boring for me, so I'd have to find ways to constantly make it harder (putting myself in foul trouble and hoping the team would be down 20 by the 4th quarter). Hopefully this is enough.

If they fix the servers for My Player Pick-up games and provide open lobbies to invite players in My Player that will be all I need.

I hate having to pray that my buddies and I get in the same Pick Up lobby and then on the same team.

We all know Crew games were a lost cause unless you had 2 hours to wait for a game to work.

All the other stuff is just icing. I want the servers to be fixed. Nothing is more fun than playing other created players with the guy you've been working hard on creating and making a stud.

I REALLY hope they add limiters to this year's My Players. There was nothing more annoying than going against 8 footers with guard-like skills/shooting. Maybe the whole "athletic/all-around/3pt specialist" tags will actually mean something this time, not just certain stats that get booted up when you make the player, but also certain limitations. An athletic center shouldn't be a 99 3pt shooter.

Or just put limiters based on real player ratings. For example, you can only be so good doing something as the best player that does it is. If you're a center, your 3pt shot can only be as high as Okur's or Frye or whichever center has the highest 3pt shot. That way if you have a maxed out player he can still be a lot better than the league players, but not to the point where it's not even close. You could have a center as athletic as Howard with a decent 3pt shot, but not maxed out all the way, and not with superstar dribbling.
