But, as Smith indicated today, he doesn

Do NOT expect Duhon to be a good offensive player. OK? So save all the "OMG HE CAN'T SHOOT" stuff.

I'm sure that will work, Jareth.

Let's save this post for future reference.

I think I'm ok with this. Skip to my Lou was not a good offensive player, but he filled in for Jameer and helped get us to the finals 2 years ago. That's really all you can expect out of your number 2 point guard. Take care of the ball and pass it to the shooters.

Not sure why people are really concerned over the contractual obligations for a back-up point guard who is going to serve a role we desperately need on the team: a passing point guard who can bring solid defensive ball to our club.

Duhon gives us a solid option as a back-up point guard, and with Nelson being prone to missing games for injury, it is nice to have a guy who can average starters minutes and contribute to the club. It's a value signing, and a solid option in free agency.

11pts/7ast/3reb isn't bad. 39% shooting from 3pt range and 86% from the free throw line isn't bad either. The only bad part about Duhon is his 42% FG% and he more than makes up for that with the defense he plays.
