Defender discussion

Me and my freind were at the denver game and got in to a big discussion over who we would have on the floor if all we needed was a stop to win the game who would you have in. I said J-will at pg, vc at sg, barnes at sf, and bass at pf and howard of course.

 

he changed j-will for nelson, and put anderson in instead of barnes.

 

then people from our section kept chimming in on what they thought. but the one point we all had was lewis was not in that line up.

Don't know what the best lineup would be defensively.

 

Question: because you used Carter in yours, should for this question we assume that all players are fully healthy?

 

if yes, then subject to the team and matchups the Magic are playing. I would have:

 

Pietrus

Carter

Barnes

 

Howard

 

I have no idea who I would put in at the 4.

Lewis has his problems as we saw. But he is experienced and if he stuck to his player wouldnt be to bad. I think Bass would get lost in it all, and Anderson could make a stupid foul as he does. Saying all this I would maybe shift Howard on to the PF and have Gortat guard the Centre position. Would make the team a little confronting.

Unless they have a 3pt team on the court and are going for the 3 then I would guard that with:

 

Pietrus, Redick, Carter, Barnes, Howard.

 

Should be interesting to see what others think too... I think there will be alot of different oppinions on this one.

yah we were talking about healthy and right now incase someone tries to bring up in their prime crap. one more time. not prime but now and healthy.

 

and i really like pietrus carter barnes howard gortat combo but wouldn't you be afraid with this lineup that pietrus would get blown out by faster smaller pg who we don't want shooting foul shots at the end of the game. ( and yes i'm saying peitrus would foul. lol)

When I need a stop late in 2K10 I put in:

 

PG: AJ

SG: Peaches

SF: Barnes

PF: Gortat

C: Dwight
