Why there will not be a significant trade

When you have a trade that both sides feels like they gave up a little too much, then that is a fair trade all the way around.

NO is not going to trade the best pg in the league for Nelson.

Ok who would be our backup center if we trade away Gortat. If we could get Hilton Armstrong included in that deal or some kind of backup center then I'm all for that deal. We need a backup big man if Gortat goes. Unless you guys think that Bass can hold it down for us.

It never fails. Every time one person suggests a mindnumbingly stupid one sided trade (and yes Bucktown, I know you were joking around) there is still at least one person who thinks that the Magic are getting the short end of the deal.

Seriously Rob? If the Hornets actually lost their collective minds and were willing to accept a trade that sent us Chris Paul in exchange for Gortat and Nelson, you would actually hold out for Hilton freaking Armstrong? I feel the need to choke the crap out of you until you either regain your senses or die. Either way, I wouldn't have to read your rubbish any longer.

The thing is there is no reason N.O. would ever trade CP3 since they have him locked up long term. Only reason they do it is to save money and for that reason alone we could not put a package together to meet those type of needs.

Oh ok. I didn't catch on to that. But I saw that there were rumors that the Lakers are offering Bynum, Farmar and 1st rounder for Paul. We could offer what you said Gortat, Nelson for Paul as well. But he would probably still choose the Lakers over us anyways.

Our advantage over LA in this case is that we're in a different conference

The Hornets would never ever ever take on Rashard's contract.

Jameer, Redick and Gortat plus a couple first round picks for Paul, Okafor and Peja might be doable.

If the Lakers offered Bynum, Farmar 1st round for Paul then what's wrong with us offering something similar. And Hilton Armstrong isn't a bad back up center if you didn't know. Don't call me out if don't know shiit about the player I suggested. I know what the fukk I'm talking about. Stop trying to find little shiit to come at me with cause it's not working. We only need a big man to play the minutes when Howard is resting. He doesn't have to be the best damm center in the league. Just a damm backup.
