COLOMBIANO 118 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Wait...Some of you guys have South Africa not even qualifying to the second round. I believe that has never happened and you know even if they need help they'll make it at least to the second round! Can Brazil and Spain face each other in the final if they both win their group? I haven't seen the match ups per group yet.
i HATE Rich DeVos 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 I would LOVE it if brazil dies in the group of death. I'm calling it now the US will win their group and play in the consolation game

If either one finishes second in their group and the other one wins, they will see each other in the second round. I optimistically had both of them winning their group in my scenario above. Caco 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 Man, I'm a little down right now... He are in the group with South Africa, France and Mexico. South Africa is the home team, and as Colombiano said, I don't remember the last time the home team didn't get out of the first round. Mexico is a strong team, and a team we know very well but have a lot of problems when we play them. France is not as strong as it used to be, they don't have Zidane anymore thank God, but still are a strong team. Chances are we will lose in the first round, but I still keep a little hope. Uruguay can beat them all, and can lose them all. I hope it's the first one. As for the rest of the groups, I don't see many difficulties for the favourites to qualify. Perhaps Brazil could be one of the biggest disappointments, that's a tough group. Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal will all beat North Korea, and the matches beetween them will be great to watch. Spain will probably win all 9 points. I won't go any further, since it's too early. Six months is a lot of time and everything can change. Injuries, tiredness, form of the players, coaches, etc. will be very different in June.
