Here are some of the commercials we have at home to stop speeding. Just as a disclaimer, they are pretty upsetting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtJqw--DGl8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YROpAlg8oXk

I haven't worked this one out yet either but it's probably staring me in the face

the bench and role players the heat manage to keep picking up keep disappointing me by being a lot better than I would like them to be

does anyone know if there will be a new uniform and, most crucially, if some variation of the black alternates could make a comeback as genuine road uniform and not just special occasion throwbacks?
-
wow Germany! Sad to see Messi et al go out but that was impressive and a great example of how to play football - no diving, no goal-line handballs, no selfishness, no harassing the ref, just beautiful beautiful football by the second youngest team in the WC. Incredible.

Is it really as easy as it looks lol it's easy till you have one when the pressure is on. When you have an entire continent expecting you to score suddenly it can become the hardest thing to do. Gutted for Ghana and hope Suarez gets a two match man that will wipe the smug look off his face. if only. Blatter will probably laud him for his 'human' reactionary save

I know Ghana should have won it right at the end of extra time with that penalty, but is anyone else incredibly disgusted that Suarez's handball is pretty much what put Uruguay through?

Geez,it's hard to keep up with you guys. lol. This thread is insane. Do you remember the pages when the discussion was about Hot Dogs? I wanna say it was the 370's, or 340's ah the 370's or 340's, those were the days...

based on form alone, Argentina v Germany will be the best game yet and I'm slightly bugged it is only happening in the 1/4s. At the start I was really excited about Spain and Brazil but neither of them have really hit their stride yet and I'm not nearly as excited about a Brazil v Netherlands matchup as I should be

quote: Originally posted by Caco:Just to keep talking about the WC in this couple of days. I just heard the referee for the Uruguay - Ghana match will be Howard Webb who is ENGLISH. We all know what happened with Larrionda (uruguayan) in the Germany - England match. Add to this that Uruguay's matches are the ones with less attendance and probably less viewers around the world. Add to this that Ghana is the last african team standing, that all South Africa has declared to be behind them, and probably FIFA too. Does it sound suspicious that the referee will be english just after what happened with the uruguayan refs? Even though I don't think it's a conspiracy theory, FIFA could have easily named another ref for this match. I'm a little scared about this, I don't know if I should. I wouldn't worry, Howard Webb is one of the best referees in the game and officiates a lot of the intense, firepit games in the EPL. Also, he has that bald, intimidating Pierluigi Collina look about him (and, after a few weeks in SA, a tan to match!) also, everyone, including the English FA/players/supporters/media all accept Germany outplayed them and probably would have won anyway so I doubt there is any conspiratorial ref choice here to compensate for the failings of Larrionda (which may even be a good thing since Blatter has now hinted they may talk about it at the next meeting - not necessarily that he has any intention of doing something about it, but he may bring it up in casual chat with a few folk at the FIFA watercooler)
