I don't think Toronto is going to add that much salary. They just gave Bargnani an extension, signed Hedo to a fat contract, and took on some dallas players for the coming year. They were just looking to add some cheap depth.

ESPN says different

Like I said on page one, it seems to me that this is two separate deals.

Turk S&T to Toronto for the TE

which allows Toronto to make the three-way deal with Memphis and Dallas.

Two separate deals, it seems to me.

It's the same deal Yahoo Sports is reporting that the deal involves Memphis and Orlando as the two teams helping out Dallas and Raptors complete the deal. ESPN is behind the 8 ball in this story. Chad Ford and Stein didn't get all of the information this is funny.

It still doesn't change the fact that it's two separate deals.

The Magic trade JJ Redick, rights to Franny and the trade exception to the Utah Jazz for Carlos Boozer

magic won't go 11mil into the tax just on 1 player..

You say that but we offered Hedo 9 million a year for 4 years.

did we get a $ amount for what the tpe is going to be?

It will be in the amount of Turks first year of his contract. SO basically like $9 million give or take.

So now its basically time to go shopping. Which team out there wants to shed one of their high priced PFs in our limit.

Utah wants to shed Boozer so they can sign Milsap

You can't package the TPE with other players. It has to be a straight up deal. Also, the other guys are right, Boozer makes too much money for the TPE that we will get for Hedo. I believe Boozer is due something like 12.7 mil next year, and we are prob looking at a 10.5 mill TPE.

SO that works under the 80% rule. I am sure we will not do it, but Utah does want to get something out of him.

You can's use the TE with another player you have to use it alone that's how we got Anderson from the Nets. Carter was the trade then in a different deal we gave the Nets the trade exception for Anderson.

NO it does not. Toronto has to go under the cap to give us the Trade Exception. They LOSE their MLE and LLE.
