MrWise 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2009 I really liked watching Carlos beat the USA team in the Olympics(over 4 years ago) but he's a bit of a sloppy ball handler when he tries to make those And1 moves. He could be a good 2nd or 3rd backup at the point guard though, better than AJ atleast

Charlius 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2009 Though this entire thread has been made in apparent jest, I would like to provide a more serious counterpoint to the mood of the discussion. I really believe everyone here doesn't want Arroyo back due to the influx of Arroyo/PR fanatics on the boards. If we take a look at Arroyo, I think he makes a FANTASTIC backup. Look, the dude's got skills, enough talent to make some people believe be should be starting over Nelson. That's something. But seeing how Nelson broke out as an All-Star once he didn't have to keep looking over his back, I'm gonna have to say no. If it were a given that everything would be fine chemistry-wise with a Nelson/Arroyo dynamic again, why wouldn't we take him back?? This would also hinge upon how much his contract would be though. So after a bit of consideration, I'm ultimately gonna have to pass, but still say that he's pretty good. -Charlius-
