fan for too long 16 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 With Turk running the offense and Ariza hounding him to the ground. The Magic will not beat them. Turk is not fast or strong enough to handle Ariza's unrelenting defense. Also Rashard can not handle Gasol or Odom down on the post. Stan, if you want to keep Turk you need to come up with a different offense. Something that you have been unwilling to do for two years. IMO we need to trade Turk for a strong forward that crashes the boards and move Rashard back to his natural small forward position. Who is available? And why does it seem most people on this board think we have to have Turk back? How do you see anything different next year with the same player? I, for one am not satisfied with one career win in the finals. Why should you be?

fan for too long 16 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 Many many times Nelson hands the ball to hedo as soon as he steps over the half court line. Also Nelson gets injured quite a bit and who is left to run the team? One guess.

It was a big reason this team played so well in the first half.
fan for too long 16 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 So, in your onpinion we need no changes just a healthy Jameer?
COLOMBIANO 118 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 Bingo! There is no need to let Hedo go. We just need a good back up PF.

Right...So if you trade turk who is out second best playmaker and Jameer gets injured who do you go to? The banger that we traded turk for? Dont think so. I think we need to add pieces not take any away.
VaBchMagicFan 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 Yeah this team needs to add pieces for sure including keeping Hedo. As far as people saying oh well Nelson can handle the ball all the time now we don't need Hedo. That is crazy, he played well for half a season and the last couple weeks before he got hurt was already cooling off. He will never be a great passer, and letting Turk go considering the lack of skilled passers on this team makes no sense. As far as the Lakers, with Jefferson if they are healthy the Spurs will be the best in the West and played well last year with Ginobli and Duncan missing a lot time and Parker playing by himself. Now they added Gooden and Jefferson? So now you have the best PF in the league, IMO the best PG in the game, the best 6th man in the league, the best Coach in the game. And quality role players everywhere. That team is ran the right way and is the model of the way a franchise should do business.

I said having Turk on the team won't have the same impact in the finals against the Lakers, because he wouldn't be offensive initiator.
