wow...you're really over thinking this

 

there is no situation...at all...where i would want the magic to lost game 1 of a playoff series.

I don't give a rats rosy red rectum about Jacksons record. We HAVE to win this game if we're going to sweep the lakers. And which would you prefer? Breaking some bogus stat record or humiliating the lakers?

Only winning the series, the Magic'll be the first team ever to get a ring beating three teams with 60+ victories in r-season.

Clearly with no home court advantage.

 

This would be fair enough IMO.
