I dont believe so. I dont think Marions defense is out of the park. I think Tony has as consistant of a jumper as Marions (and not as ugly) I do believe that Marion is a better rebounder but in our system, he probably wouldnt work well with Dwight in the middle.

I would rather have turk. He creates for us and already fits in this team. Marion, a player who thrived on his athleticism in his prime, is losing a bit of his step.

Ok we all get a laugh, but my main point was that they play a similar position with their respective teams and I dont want another Tony Battie on this team.

 

The original question was Turk or Marion and id take Hedo any day over obtaining Marion

I'd take Marion over Turk.

 

Next season we'll have Jameer back as a starter with Alston coming off the bench. That basically renders Turk's "playmaking" abilities useless. We don't necessary need Turk as a scorer either since Howard, Lewis and Nelson are prime scorers. And I think there's no question that Marion's rebounding and defense are much better than Turk's.

 

As for Marion being traded for a "washed up" center I think that Shawn's days in Miami were numbered ever since he was traded there. Riley never intended to keep him.
