If more proof was needed that the Magic don't win by Dwight Howard alone, it was Tuesday's news of point guard Jameer Nelson being named the Eastern Conference's player of the week, his second such honor this season.

Nelson averaged 24.7 points, 8.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in leading Orlando to a perfect 4-0 road sweep last week. He was sterling in fourth-quarter runs against the San Antonio Spurs and L.A. Lakers, and hit 5-of-5 3-pointers against the Sacramento Kings.

If Jameer is not added to the All-Star team this year, the NBA is a complete joke.

Jameer is a machine right now. If he doesn't make the all-star team Gortat will make a personal visit to every NBA coach that didn't vote for Jameer.

You could make the argument that Jameer has been the third best PG in the league this year.

I don't think Jameer Nelson is going to be an all-star this year. If Hedo didnt get selected last year, with all his game winners, and late 4th quarter heroics, not to mention his almost 20 5 5 stats, what makes you guys think jameer or rashard is gonna go?

The Magic have respect around the league this year. Plus, there is a limited roster of legit all star point guards in the east.

Hedo not making the team last year has nothing to do with this year or how Jameer is playing.

Hedo had a lot more competition for his spot last year than Jameer does for Pg this year.
