The Super Colossal Mega-Awesome 2013 Offseason Move (Insert Echo-Effect) Thread, Thread, Thread, Thread
Bulletproof replied to Marc Acres 3:16's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
your delusional...Just like most magic fans are these days. Do you know how hard it is to get 6-7 player trades..AND with 3 teams involved. And you thinking our 2nd squad of Ish, JJ, green, anderson and Orton would be pretty strong.. LOL Some of the trades you people come up with are laughable -

I heard Magic are pushing hard to go after Phil Jackson as coach. Phil said he wants to coach Dwight and Phil said hes getting the itch to coach again and hes very healthy.

This makes sense..because we all know Dwight wanted Stan Fired. I guess Dwight said he will sign an extension if they fire both Stan and Otis. We all know this was coming

With Mike Woodson’s contract being hammered out this week, Patrick Ewing won’t be getting any head-coaching interviews with the Knicks any time soon. But yesterday, the Big Fella moved a step closer to his first head-coaching job when he interviewed for the Bobcats position in Charlotte. If Ewing is going to land a head-coaching job in the near future, this could be his best shot as the friendship and mutual respect he shares with Bobcats owner Michael Jordan can’t be overstated. The interviews are being conducted by president Rod Higgins and general manager Rich Cho, but Jordan is expected to make the final call. One person familiar with the situation said this was hardly a courtesy interview, that Ewing has a “good chance’’ of being Paul Silas’ successor. According to a source, Ewing would not be considered for the head job with Orlando and it’s believed his relationship with maligned center Dwight Howard is not as tight as it used to be http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

Dave (Orlando) What do you see as the most likely course of action for the Magic this summer? Chad Ford (1:15 PM) I think you'll see them let go GM Otis Smith and head coach Stan Van Gundy in the next few days. From what I can gather, they've already begun to kick start a search for a new GM. I think it's time for a major change in the front office, but I wonder if they'll be able to find a better coach than Van Gundy. I know he can grate on players, but given the wholesale changes coming in Orlando, he'll have a new group of players to grate on. I could see them hiring someone like former Knicks GM Donnie Walsh or Pacers GM David Morway there. As for Dwight Howard, I think everyone realizes he's gone sooner or later and the focus will be on how to best rebuild the team. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/43835 -

I think Everyone knew Otis would be gone when Otis agreed to the Nets trade for Dwight Howard but Ownership declined it and then took away all power from Otis to make trades. -
Jameer Nelson can, and likely will, opt-out of the final year of his contract. Sources close to the situation say that Nelson wants to test free agency and sign a long-term deal that gives him some security going forward. Nelson doesn’t want to be dealt as an expiring contract and end up in a bad situation. If he leaves Orlando, he wants to choose his next team rather than being dealt somewhere out of his control. The Magic started zeroing in on possible replacements during the season and league sources believe Smith will be let go in the coming weeks. David Morway, Kevin Pritchard, Jeff Bower, David Griffin, Tony Ronzone and Larry Harris have been mentioned as potential candidates http://www.hoopsworld.com/where-do-the-magic-go-from-here
