True, but everybody has to change how they play to accommodate a ball player like Bane coming on board in place of KCP. It should be short term pain for long term gain. I’m really not worried about our starters, except we need to improve at the 5 spot. Our bench keeps me up at night. We have a clear 6 guys that we need to roll out every night - Franz, Paolo, Bane, Suggs, AB, Moe, every one else to me is expendable and not a championship caliber player or too young and raw to be on a championship aspiration rotation.

Bane is fine and was the right move, that’ll work itself out. The defensive falloff seems pretty strictly due to changing our pace, feel like that’ll work itself out too. Our main issue is our bigs suck and we don’t have anybody on the bench that can score. I’m not surprised by either of these and expected another move or two this season, but I am surprised it’s showing itself so quickly. Moe helps with both of these things in one swoop, that’s why he’s so valuable to our team. The WCJ experiment needs to be done, and we desparately need a 6th man that isn’t just a defensive specialist. I don’t know what assets we really have anymore, but I’m all in on a Malik Monk move and if there’s any way in hell we could talk to Utah about Walker Kessler I’d throw another parade. Im more critical of the team than most on the board because I was excited about this season and 1-3 just makes me sad, but the sky isn’t falling as fast as it feels, we just he to get our **** together before it does.

Can’t rebound, can’t defend, can’t shoot. What can we do? We have serious depth issues. We got 5 guys who have a spot that are playing tonight, everyone else can go.

You guys ever get so excited about Christmas getting here and then wake up Christmas morning and all you got was socks? That’s what this season has been so far. Still a lot of time left, but definitely some glaring weaknesses to be concerned about. On to the next one.

So many missed wide open 3s tonight, too. Bane and Tyus missed like 7 or 8 of them combined. The sky isn’t falling, but the ceiling isn’t as high as we thought it was if we’re capable of something like tonight, especially at home. Alarming: Paolo - absolutely dreadful in both of the first 2. Tonight might have been the worst game I’ve ever seen him play. And to add to it he single-handedly ruins any chance of stealing this one by combing bad play with terrible IQ. Tyus - as expected, turnstile on defense, but more worrisome, 0-6 from 3 on all wide open looks. playing him a ton off ball which just doesn’t make sense. Coach Mose - deserves a ton of blame for this one tonight - garbage rotations, awful timeouts, took his challenge home with him for some reason despite several plays worthy of challenging. ive feared to a long time he’s not the right coach to get us over the hump, he needs to step his game up. Theres been a lot of good and the sky isn’t falling, but dammit tonight made me mad.

Tyus Jones was apparently an awful signing, at least early. Great 3 pointer and almost never turns the ball over his entire career. Comes here and he can’t pass or shoot. I’m ready for Jase

JI and his big ass contract getting a DNP-CD in game 2 is concerning.

I don’t know if we could’ve possibly played worse in that half and still up 10. Unreal. 10/20 from the line and Paolo has been our worst player. Also, I say it all the time, but the league has a serious referee problem. These games are almost unwatchable with the amount of random and inconsistent whistles.

I want to highlight one play in particular we haven’t had the ability to do in years, if ever. Down 7, 5:50 to play, nothing going right or developing on offense. Bane calmly and confidently pulls up from 30 feet and drills it right between the eyes. This guy is gonna wind up being worth every thing we paid for him and more.
