  1. The Philadelphia 76ers intend to sign F Justin Edwards to a new three-year contract after declining his team option, sources tell ESPN. 76ers and Klutch Sports' Rich Paul and Josh Hairston negotiated the new deal for Edwards, who averaged 10.1 points and 26 minutes last season. Happy for the kid. Reminds me of the Naz Reid situation some years back.
  2. Xavier’s Zach Freemantle will join the Orlando Magic for NBA Summer League, I’m told. The two-time 2nd Team All-Big East forward averaged 16.8 PTS, 6.8 REB, 2.1 AST this season, earning nods for the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and NABC Reese’s All-Star Game. Good college players. Might have a shot for our g-league team.

  4. I mean, he's a second year player who wasn't a key rotation player. My guess is he plays the first two games and sit the reast.
  5. NEWS: Mexico City Capitanes guard Dink Pate has agreed to a deal with the New York Knicks, a source told ESPN. The 19-year-old former G League Ignite product has significant long-term upside to grow into at 6-foot-7. Nice developmental project for the Knicks. Like Penda, he shot is his swing skill.

The 6’3 ¾" guard spearheaded FAU’s 2023 Final Four run, was named the 2024 AAC POY, earned two G League Elite Camp invites, and finished 2nd in scoring at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament Good get. Summer League squad should be fun again this year. PG. Jase Richardson SG. Johnell Davis SF. Tristan da Silva PF. Noah Penda C. TBD

Love went undrafted and now lands a deal to be on the Blazers’ roster next season. We brought him in for a workout. Villanova star Eric Dixon has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN. Dixon was the No. 1 scorer in college basketball last season, shooting 41% from 3-point range. Louisville's Chucky Hepburn – the ACC Defensive Player of the Year – has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Toronto Raptors, sources tell ESPN. Another guy we worked out.
  20. Sam V(ecenie) - (The Athletic) Penda is my kind of player, which is why he’ll likely be a bit higher here than he is compared to the consensus. He has enormous positional size, is a tough defender, processes the game well and has the potential to be a wing who can dribble, pass and shoot. I love his game in transition, and he’s a sharp passer. Defensively, he can gamble, but he generally knows where he’s supposed to be and is disruptive. He holds his line on defense and doesn’t allow guards or wings to go through his enormous frame. The swing skill here is the jumper. As long as Penda’s frame doesn’t get any bigger and thus slow his foot speed, he’ll be an impact player in the NBA if the jumper translates. He had good success with it this season, but this is a one-year sample that makes it hard to fully buy into. Still, I’m willing to take the flier on it working out. I have Penda as my highest-ranked international player, just outside the lottery on my board, and would happily take a chance that he’s the kind of player who can help you in a playoff series.
  21. It's funny how Penda had on a pinstripe suit.
