It's getting a little too sloppy. Gotta make those layups.

+1 Exactly! I agree with (bolded) 100%

Mosley nearly emptied the bench. Poor Orlando Robinson was the only one dressed who didn't see playing time. Did you see the expression on Jett's face when he was given the green light to go in during the last few minutes of the game? I don't know who he was talking to, but he looked like a little kid pointing to himself saying, "I can go in"? . . .Oh, Wait! GO MAGIC!!!
-
What baffled me is the number of times Mosley rotates players into the game. Maybe it's the streaming that I use. He probably does it because key players are injured, but there are moments in the game when the Magic has it going defensively and offensively, Mosely sends different players in and we lose momentum. From that point on, the rotations start happening often and quick. What is the maximum minutes a player can play in a game--42 min.? On other teams, I have seen where certain players on other teams played anywhere from 39 to 42 mins. Some fans of Bane have been critical of him if he does not produce the very good stats from game to game. During every game I watch him closely and cheer him on to be the dominant player I know he can be. So, while watching him, I turn my head away from my tv screen for a few seconds and--oops! he is no longer on the floor. Then a few seconds later, he's back on the floor. Mosley's rotations come fast an furious with a crazy mix of players.

I was thinking the same thing that there was no game plan. Like someone said in a previous post, it looked like pickup basketball--on the Magic's part anyway. I agree with all of what you said. Good take. There were times when there were a mix of 5 Magic players on the floor who were running around and couldn't find the basket, I said to myself "there are no shooters out there".
-
The players still have to play the game though. They are being paid millions to do that. And the fans are paying their salaries.
-
I agree with you Stinger24. I thought for sure this was going to be an easy win for the Magic. They are too inconsistent. That fast pace was missing. Low energy, missing shots.

Why did Lonzo Ball's mother let his brother leave the house showing all those tatoos. It gives me the creeps. I don't know whose looks worse his (Ball) or Dennis Rodman.

-
What happened to Goga? We need him on the floor too. He would have been good for a couple of blocks and ally oops against this team.
-
The Hornets have a scrappy bunch of young players. They are outrebounding the Magic and making 3's.
-
WOW! The Magic are letting the hornets look like world beaters. The Nuggets are coming to town tomorrow! Welp!
-
Lonzo Ball's brother looks like a hot mess with all those tatoos. He looks like a world traveler's suitcase.

I Love It! . . .

I see where you are coming from, but I thought most of us wanted better ball movement and getting other teammates involved rather than watching Paolo go 1 on 5 and padding his stats while others stand around watching him. It's nice to have a superstar on a team, but like other teams I've seen play against the Magic, I want to see multiple players contribute to the game. I love the full speed type basketball. I've even seen Giannis participate in full speed games on the Milwaukee team. Even on my second favorite team, Steph Curry cannot move as fast as he used to--probably due to his latest injury. He has had to let his teammates give him help. I don't want to ever again see a Mo Bamba type game where the legs will not hold up in a full speed game.

+1 I agree with all of what you said 110%, OnlyFranz. Several posts ago I mentioned about how successful Franz and Bane are being able to play off each other. The games that we won with the Franz and Bane tandem is a testament that they are a good fit when Paolo is not playing.

I started to ask you all, who is this Tyus Jones? And why was he so important that the Magic decided to bring him to Orlando? When the Magic trade for a player I've usually heard of a player before. I have been a Magic fan since its beginning. Then I decided to look him up myself in ESPN. I see that he has been in the league for 10 years, drafted in 2015 1st Rd, Pk 24 (CLE). Was he really good on other teams he played for or was the Magic trying to save some money when they traded for him?

LATE NIGHT GAME - Monday, December 22, 2025 - 10:00 PM MAGIC @ WARRIORS I'm calling it: "Thrilla in Manila" - The Draymond/Desmond Show Picture of Draymond Green and Desmond Bane Scuffle Some of you might remember the phrase "Thrilla in Manila" coined by the late, great Muhammad Ali in the fight against Smokin Joe Frazier in 1975. By the way, Draymond was ejected from, I believe, the last game the Warriors played. So, he might come out "smokin" again.

"Ah-e-e-m ~ g-r-r-r-u-n-t!" So you're going to just overlook the fact that we would not have been able to survive that run by the JAZZ in overtime if Desmond had not done his classic layup with .14 secs. left on the clock in overtime. And what about his 32 pts. With the .14 secs. left on the clock I kept saying to myself, "Give Paolo or Bane the ball and let them drive to get fouled". And lo and behold, my wish came true. I agree that Penda was stellar in his performance tonight, but let's give credit where credit is due.

I agree with everything you said 100%.

That's my point (bold). That's like expecting a "Samson against Goliath" and "Us against the World" scenario when playing a team like the Nuggets and in a high altitude city while depleted of key players on the Magic. I know you were at the game All Eyes On Me, but there is a difference in sitting watching the game and running up and down a basketball court sucking up air. "Mile-High NBA advantage: Denver altitude helps Nuggets go unbeaten at home in playoffs - June 2, 2023 / 2:49 PM MDT / AP With their 104-93 win over the Miami Heat on Thursday, the Nuggets improved to 9-0 at home during their postseason run. Yes, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and friends have a lot to do with it. But altitude deserves an assist. The Nuggets try to push the pace to make the Heat feel the burn coming in from sea level." Admittedly, I didn't watch the second half of the game. Now, some of you are being critical of Bane's performance--or lack thereof--in the game last night. But come on,,,how many bad nights has he had recently? I read nothing but good things about Bane when we won a bunch of games. He is not Kobe. In the past there have been top tier offensive players on our team (not name Desmond) that some would have said: "He ? is just having a bad night." Even Jameer Nelson had that one bad night in an NBA finals, but we couldn't erase how he (with injuries) and his teammates got us there. I'm going to say it again, it depends on what the rotation is and who's on the floor with Bane. If Franz (or even Suggs) is not out there with Bane, and you have a bunch/majority of bench players out there who are trying to prove what they can do--what do you expect from Bane? Franz was the x factor for Bane because other teams had to try to pick their poison. It worked well while Paolo was not playing due to injuries. Bane use to get his points from attacking the basket a lot, but with Franz not on the floor it is not easy for him to do. When you have a bunch of bench players in the game and no other help, you have to expect Bane to have off nights until he can get some help from other key players who are injured. /my 2 cents

I think it's due to the players he is in the game with. When Franz was healthy and we were winning games, Des was the major ball handler. Tonight we have too many players that have taken the ball out of his hands. And why did Jett play major minutes. I know that some are fans of his, but he does not move without the ball. He stands in a spot waiting for someone to pass him the ball.

He does not look half the player he was going back to last season. It's either the injury he had or that he is not able to adjust to the new way or style he has been asked to play. He plays like a newbie that's trying to fit in.
